  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is now known as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Predominately Inattentive Type.
  • Almost 5 to 8 % of all the children in the United States have this disorder.
  • 4.5 million children 5-17 years of age have been diagnosed with ADHD.
  • ADHD can impact a person’s academic confidence, social/peer relationships, and career performance.
  • Parents report that children with a history of ADHD are almost 10 times as likely to have difficulties that interfere with friendships (20.6% vs. 2.0%).
